NSW: Byrne murder review expected to finish this month
The New South Wales Director of Public Prosecutions says a review evidence surrounding
the death of Sydney model CAROLINE BYRNE should be completed by the end of the month.
NICHOLAS COWDERY has told ABC Radio police have now handed six volumes of evidence to his office.
He says he expects to finish examining the brief by the end of this month.
Ms BYRNE's body was found at the bottom of a cliff at The Gap in Sydney's eastern suburbs
nine years ago.
A coroner recorded an open finding into Ms BYRNE'S death.
But prosecutors last month began assessing a new police brief into the case that reportedly
recommended charges be laid against the 24-year-old's former boyfriend, GORDON WOOD.
Mr WOOD is a former chauffeur to stockbroker RENE RIVKIN.
